Playlist Pro for YouTube (Chrome extension) · Effective 16 October 2026

Short version: everything stays in your browser. The developer runs no server and receives nothing. No analytics, no ads, no selling.

What the extension reads

• Your YouTube session. In your open YouTube tab it reads YouTube's sign-in cookie (SAPISID) to sign requests to youtube.com, the same way the YouTube page does. The cookie is never stored by the extension and never sent anywhere except youtube.com.
• Your playlists. Names, IDs, privacy setting, and the videos in them (ID, title, channel). Used to search, find duplicates, merge, delete and undo.
• The video you are watching. Title, channel, description and keywords of the current watch page. Used to suggest a playlist in the Save window.

Where data goes

• youtube.com (your own account): reading your playlists, and changing them only when you click (add, remove, create, delete, merge, privacy). Thumbnails load from i.ytimg.com.
• huggingface.co, only if you turn on Local intelligence: the model files (about 118 MB) download once. The request contains no personal data; Hugging Face sees your IP address and normal browser headers, like any download. Files are checked against fixed SHA-256 hashes. The model then runs on your computer; titles are never sent.
• Nowhere else. No developer server, analytics, ads, trackers or third-party sharing.

What is stored on your computer

In Chrome's extension storage, only in this browser profile:

• Playlist cache and scan results.
• Settings and your Smart Rules.
• A 16-character hash of your YouTube account ID (never your name or email), so each account's data stays apart.
• Pinned playlists.
• Your last 500 Save choices (video ID, title, channel, playlist, time), to learn your habits.
• History & Undo log (last 120 actions) and backups of removed videos, so Undo works.
• The downloaded model, if Local intelligence is on.

Export (CSV/JSON) saves a file to your computer only when you click it. Nothing is uploaded.

Keeping and deleting

Data stays until you remove it:

• Manager → Duplicate Cleaner → Clear Cache (scan results, cached playlist videos).
• Manager sidebar → Delete downloaded model.
• Removing the extension deletes all of it.

Sharing and use

Not sold. Not shared. Not used for ads, credit or lending, or anything outside the extension's features. The use of information follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
